Painter and sculptor Mme Gensoul-Desfonts studied in London with Carlini. She sent some works to the
Paris Salon between 1791 and 1799 and married the artist Jean-Louis-Basile Gensoul, a pupil of Jean-Baptiste
Regnault. After living in Paris, the artist settled in the village of Connaux , in the Gard, where she died on 16
October 1824.
