Souvenir of Captain Deroja, 3rd voltigeur of the Imperial Guard. Comprising: -Officer's sword of the Imperial Guard model 1860. Chased brass mounting. Pommel with eagle, jointing arch with thunderbolt with the numeral "N" in the centre and right quillon with acanthus leaf. Keyboard with large imperial arms and counter keyboard with pump marked "DELACOUR FBT DE L'EMPEREUR A PARIS". Blackened horn butt (watermark missing). Straight blade made in Châtellerault, triangular section marked "Capitaine Deroja, au 3e voltigeur de la Garde Impériale". Scabbard missing. Total length: 96 cm. France, Second Empire period. - Officer's sabre of the Vincennes chasseurs. Bronze mounting. Oval cap with long tail decorated with lines and laurel wreath. The joint arch is pierced to allow the lanyard to pass through, with two branches forming the shell decorated with a laurel wreath on a background of four pennants and stars. Scrolled quillon with star decoration. Horn spindle, watermark missing. Curved blade by "Coulaux" in Klingenthal. Scabbard missing. Total length 90cm. France, Second Empire period. -Senior officer's sabre model 1855. Bronze mounting, chased cap with crown, fillet joint arch, openwork plate with flower decoration, drop-shaped quillon. Horn spindle, watermark missing. Straight blade with two gutters marked Solingen and "Of SUPERIEUR M 1855". Iron scabbard with two straps and suspension rings. Oxidation. Total length: 102 cm.
