Description
Volunteer officer's sabre, known as a miner's sabre. Montmorency gilt bronze mounting. Long-tailed cap. Flat jointed bow with two branches joined by a third branch. Wooden butt covered with basane and double brass filigree. Blade with hollow sides and gutter, hallmarked by de Cabannes (deputy director of Klingenthal in 1791). Leather scabbard with three brass fittings, antique, composite. As is. Total length: 82cm Constitutional monarchy period.
