Santiago Sahli Taitao 7 Lamp Wheel-thrown terracotta, slip-glazed. Made from liquid porcelain and ground oak leaves. Finished with natural oils. Dimmable, battery-powered GU10 bulb with adjustable brightness. One-off piece. H22 L24 cm Taitao 7 features the series’ low, wide shape, ideal for creating ambient lighting when placed on a console table or bedside table. The interplay between the base and the lampshade – two turned forms that can be interchanged – allows the silhouette and the light diffusion to be altered. The plant-based engobe, developed by the artist, produces variations in colour and texture unique to each piece. The finish, using natural oils and no glaze, preserves the matt and delicate appearance of the clay.
