Description
Simone Negri Accadimento #218 Sculpture Stoneware and black glaze 2026 H42 W19 D10 cm A vertical piece from the Accadimento series, No. 218 is one of Simone Negri’s most recent works. In this piece, the Italian ceramicist continues an exploration based on embracing the unexpected: the final form results from working the clay rather than from a preliminary sketch. The slender form, more intimate than the large horizontal pieces in the series, lends itself to display on a plinth or on a shelf. The deep, matt black glaze draws the eye to the relief and the irregularities of the material, much like a small contemporary stele.
