Description
*Mario Ceroli (born 1938) Sequoia Rolling table Pine Poltronova edition Date of creation: circa 1990 H25 W147 D127 cm Additional charges: reduced VAT rate 5.5% Like his sculptures, Mario Ceroli’s furniture is crafted from assembled pine planks, left in their natural state, with the grain and knots forming an integral part of the piece. Sequoia, named after the giant tree, features a low, wide design that gives it the appearance of a fragment of a tree trunk. The castors introduce an unexpected touch of mobility to a piece with such a massive presence. Produced by Poltronova, it bears witness to the ongoing collaboration between the artist and the Tuscan firm, twenty years on from his first pieces of furniture.
