Description
Simone Negri Occurrence #190 Wall sculpture Stoneware and black ceramic pigment Date of creation: 2025 H48 W32 D8 cm In this wall piece, Simone Negri replaces glaze with a black ceramic pigment, which penetrates the surface of the stoneware without covering it. The material thus remains visible, with its grain and imperfections, whilst the black unifies the composition. The principle of the series remains the same: the form arises from a single action performed on the clay, which is then set by firing. Hung on the wall, the work reads as a monochrome relief, in the tradition of Italian materialist painting. A recent piece, of an intermediate size.
