A blend of strength and lightness, a tension between the plant and mineral worlds, Webwood is a metaphor for the web – the imaginary web spun by the spider so dear to Prévert.
A blend of strength and lightness, Webwood stands as a metaphor for a network: the imaginary web spun by the spider, so dear to Prévert. Fabrice Ausset creates a dialogue between the plant and mineral worlds, combining two softwoods – Oregon pine and larch – with a granite top. The tension between the structure’s apparent suppleness and the weight of the stone lends the table an architectural presence. Measuring nearly two and a half metres in depth, it is designed for spacious interiors and collectors of contemporary design on a monumental scale.
