Description
Basse Stittgen (born 1990) Charred small mirror Mirror Lignin derived from wood, neutral mirror 2025 H55 W43 D10 cm The ‘Charred’ series explores the dark, profound quality of the mixture of lignin and cellulose developed by Basse Stittgen, evoking burnt wood or charcoal. This small mirror offers the most intimate interpretation of the series: a frame with a matt, black surface, almost mineral in quality, which surrounds the glass like a matrix. Made from a raw material discarded by the paper industry, the piece questions the value of materials and their life cycle.
