Description
Grond Studio Hanna Chair Plaster and pigment 2023 H23 L26 D26 cm With Hanna, Grond Studio takes plaster – a studio material typically associated with casting and sketching – and transforms it into a functional object. This low chair, cast in a single piece, takes on a compact, almost block-like form, resembling as much a stool as a small sculpture. The white, matt surface of the plaster lends it a understated presence, reminiscent of the aesthetic found in sculptors’ studios. An accessible piece that can also serve as a side table or a plinth.
