Description
Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi Bell Lamp Plexiglas and fabric Sirrah Edition 1982 H36 cm. In very good original condition. Having met in Milan in the mid-1960s, Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi created some of the iconic pieces of Italian pop design: the Blow inflatable armchair and the Sciangai coat rack for Zanotta, and the Joe glove-shaped sofa – a tribute to the baseball player Joe DiMaggio – for Poltronova. The Cloche lamp, produced by Sirrah in 1982, takes its name from the bell, a familiar object which the trio playfully reimagined by combining Plexiglas and fabric. A whimsical piece, true to the trio’s spirit.
