Description
Ufficio Prohetti Gavina Sforzeca Three-seater sofa Rigid polyurethane frame, original velvet upholstery Simon International edition 1987 H72 W215 D90 cm Designed by Dino Gavina’s design studio as a tribute to Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who died in 1968, this sofa reflects the close ties between the Bolognese manufacturer and the Castiglioni brothers, leading figures in Milanese design. The rigid polyurethane frame creates clean, continuous lines, elegantly clad in the original velvet. The name appears to refer to the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the city where the Castiglioni brothers developed the bulk of their work. Preserved in its original upholstery, the sofa stands as an authentic testament to Gavina’s output.
