Founder and lead designer of the Barcelona-based studio Aparentment, Josep Vila Capdevila graduated in industrial design from Elisava in 2001; his interests have led him towards photography, advertising, fashion and music, and he has taught industrial design at the Terrassa School of Art and Design. Carved from a 73-kilo block of grey marble, the piece combines a sense of mass with the poetry of light.
