In its longest version, measuring two metres twenty, the All Around sofa fully embodies the series’ principle: an architecture of simple volumes, inspired by the columns of Bologna, which Pierre Gonalons transforms into comfortable furniture. The reference to Kazuhide Takahama, a Japanese architect who settled in Bologna at the invitation of Dino Gavina, is evident in the clean geometry and minimalist forms. The linen and cotton fabric from Métaphores, a French manufacturer of furnishing textiles, lends a natural and refined texture. A piece designed for the living room, which embodies the designer’s dual cultural heritage, straddling classicism and modernity.
