Description

Ingrid van Munster (1974) Planète Blue Sculpture Ceramic 2024 H34 L35 cm Through its title, Planète Blue links this sculpture to the cosmic imagination: a form almost as wide as it is tall, evoking a celestial body or a globe, on a scale that can be taken in at a glance. Ingrid van Munster works with ceramics as a living material, whose surface and colour convey the essence of the piece. Blue, the colour of the sky and the ocean, reinforces the evocation of planet Earth as seen from space. A recent freestanding work that blends abstract sculpture with a poetic dimension.
