Description
Anna Demidova Neon Green Vase Hand-moulded Terracotta, glazes, mixed media One-off piece H24 L24 D32 cm Water-resistant The title, Neon Green, evokes a bold, luminous colour reminiscent of urban signage and the artificial glow of neon. Anna Demidova applies this colour to hand-moulded terracotta, an ancient and warm material, creating a contrast between the tradition of pottery and a resolutely contemporary palette. The glazes and mixed media technique lend the surface a distinctive depth. A unique and functional piece, the vase is part of a new wave of ceramics that is revitalising the colour palette of handcrafted objects.
