As its name suggests, the Museo chair was designed in 1994 to furnish the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht, for which Aldo Rossi was the architect. It combines cherry wood and lacquered metal in a understated design with precise proportions, which extends the building’s architectural logic to the scale of the chair. The design was featured in a publication as early as 1994, entitled ‘Chairs for Maastricht’. This pair comes from the architect’s studio and his personal collection, which gives it particular documentary and historical value.
