Spangaro, ‘Aldo Rossi Design 1960–1997’, exhibition catalogue, Silvana Editorial, 2022, pp. 120–123 The name ‘Milano’ pays homage to the city where Aldo Rossi was born, studied at the Politecnico and developed the bulk of his theoretical work, from *The Architecture of the City* (1966) to his major projects. Produced by Molteni & C., with whom the architect had a long-standing collaboration from the late 1980s onwards, it combines solid walnut with a slender design featuring a high backrest. The model occupies four pages in the catalogue raisonné of his work as a designer, a testament to its significance. This example comes from Rossi’s studio and his personal collection.
