Finnish ceramicist Heini Riitahuhta creates a decorative world inspired by Nordic nature, where plant motifs and imaginary creatures are depicted on simple forms. This hexagonal pot, evocatively titled ‘frost flower’, combines several techniques: screen-printed or monotype decorations, cut by hand and applied to the stoneware, then enhanced with painted gold. The hexagonal shape evokes the geometry of snow crystals. A small, precious and signed piece that combines ceramic craftsmanship with a flair for decoration.
