Description
Heini Riitahuhta Hexagon jar Forestflower Hexagonal jar with lid High-temperature-fired stoneware, through-coloured, grey with a hint of lilac; screen-printed / monotype, printed and cut by hand Signed H 9.3 W 10.5 D 9.3 cm With its title, ‘Forestflower’, this jar evokes the Finnish woodland that fuels Heini Riitahuhta’s imagination. Here, the colour does not come from glaze but from the clay itself, dyed throughout a slightly lilac-tinged grey, which provides a soft backdrop to the hand-printed and hand-cut designs. The hexagonal shape with a lid makes it both a practical and decorative item, perfect for a desk or bedside table.
