Description
Jean-Pierre Prud'homme Pair of candlesticks Stoneware Signed ‘JP’ 20th century H19.5 cm Good original condition Stoneware, fired at high temperatures, was the material of choice for French potters in the second half of the 20th century, from La Borne to La Puisaye, who appreciated its strength, density and natural hues. This pair of candlesticks signed ‘JP’ is part of this tradition of functional, handmade ceramics, where even the simplest object bears the mark of its maker.
