Rather than seeking to represent it, Mattia Listowski constructs it. Through a process of selection and reduction, forms emerge as fragments — not incomplete parts, but structures endowed with their own internal coherence.
This shift is essential: the fragment is not what remains, but what acts. It does not refer to a pre-existing whole, but generates one.
Through sculpture, drawing, painting and photography, these forms circulate, transform and reappear in different contexts. Materials such as concrete reinforce this tension, oscillating between permanence and instability, construction and erosion.
The work thus unfolds as a system of correspondences, in which each piece functions less as an object than as a point of activation — a place where perception is reorganised and where new relationships emerge.
