Oswin Amann was an Austrian artist from Vorarlberg. In 1949, he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Albert Paris Gütersloh and Herbert Boeckl. In 1955, he completed his master’s degree and won the academy’s master school prize. From then on, he lived in Vienna and in Hausbrunn in the Weinviertel. These landscapes feature in many of his works. Essentially, Amann remained committed to representational art and worked predominantly in oil. Study trips took him to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania and Russia. Solo exhibitions: Konzerthaus Vienna, Galerie Nagl Vienna, Galerie Maier Innsbruck, Kulturkreis Hohenems, Galerie Haemmerle Götzis and Stiftsgalerie Kremsmünster. Participation in themed exhibitions at Galerie Würthle, Vienna, and Haemmerle, Götzis.
