Oswin Amann* (Hohenems 1927 – 2007 Vienna) Landscape with church, 1978 Indian ink on paper, 31.9 x 47.9 cm signed Oswin Amann, dated 8/78 ESTIMATE €60 – €100 STARTING PRICE €60 Oswin Amann was an Austrian artist from Vorarlberg. In 1949, he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Albert Paris Gütersloh and Herbert Boeckl. In 1955, he completed his master’s degree and won the academy’s master school prize. From then on, he lived in Vienna and in Hausbrunn in the Weinviertel. These landscapes feature in many of his works. Essentially, Amann remained committed to representational art and worked predominantly in oil. Study trips took him to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania and Russia. Solo exhibitions: Konzerthaus Vienna, Galerie Nagl Vienna, Galerie Maier Innsbruck, Kulturkreis Hohenems, Galerie Haemmerle Götzis and Stiftsgalerie Kremsmünster. Participation in themed exhibitions at Galerie Würthle, Vienna, and Haemmerle, Götzis. Other artists and styles: Oil painting, Cubism, New Objectivity, Landscape, Herbert Boeckl, Albert Paris Gütersloh, Franz Grabmayr, Anton Lehmden PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price comprises the highest bid plus the buyer’s premium, VAT and, where applicable, the artists’ resale rights fee and platform fee. In the case of standard taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The statutory sales tax of 13 per cent (20 per cent for photographs) is added to the sum of the highest bid, the buyer’s premium and the platform fee. The buyer’s premium amounts to 28 per cent in the case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
