Born in 1945 in Hermannsburg (Lower Saxony). Studied art education and free painting at the Werkkunstschule Hannover under Klaus Kowalski and Herbert Ribitzki from 1964 to 1968. Known for innovative techniques such as drawing with water jets on unglued paper, colour etchings, handmade watermarked paper, artist’s books and translucent installations such as perforated star tents. Numerous international exhibitions and art-in-architecture projects in Europe, the USA, Peru, China and Korea; awards include the Georg Christoph Lichtenberg Prize, the Senefelder Prize for Lithography and the Heitland Foundation Art Prize. Works are held in collections such as the National Museum in Kraków, the Library of Congress in Washington and the Museum of Women in the Arts PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price comprises the highest bid plus the buyer’s premium, VAT and, where applicable, the artists’ resale rights fee and platform fee. In the case of standard taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13 per cent (20 per cent for photographs) is added to the sum of the highest bid, the buyer’s premium and the platform fee.
