Note :
Charles Peconnet is one of those great forgotten figures in the history of jewellery at the end of the 19th century. A designer and jeweller, he set up business on Boulevard Magenta before moving to Rue des Bois in Paris in 1876. His talent was rewarded several times at the Paris Universal Exhibitions, including the gold medal for jewellery in 1889 and 1900, where critics hailed him for his high jewellery rings and brooches. The brooch we are presenting is a fine example of his craftsmanship as a glyptician.
Experts: Cabinet Salit (Jean-Norbert Salit and Alix Ricard).
