With a treatise on gnomonics, in which the calculations of both types of trigonometry are applied to the construction of sundials, followed by a table of hour angles for horizontal and vertical sundials. Paris, Guérin, 1741. In-4, [1]-XII-[5]-118-[102]-[1]-169-[1] pp. 17 fold-out plates depicting sundials. Brown calfskin, decorated ribbed spine, title label (contemporary binding). Headbands and corners restored. A rare first edition. Antoine Deparcieux (1703–1768) became a maker of school sundials and soon established a solid reputation. Noirefontaine bookplate, handwritten on the title page. A few faint water stains.
