NAMNÈTES Nantes region 1st century BC Large head on the right, surrounded by beaded cords, the eye very marked. Small cross in front of the forehead. R/. Androcephalous horse galloping to the right, led by an charioteer raising his left hand and holding the reins. Between the horse's legs, a hippophorus genie. ♦ DT 2196; LT BN 6736-6737; Scheers Lyon 880 Copper-plated electrum statere "with hippophore". (6,08 g) Interesting and rare type. Irregular flan. A very fine specimen.
