Calabria, Taranto. 1/6th of a gold stater or diobolus ND (c. 314 BC), Taranto.
Obverse: ΣΑ. Head of Apollo wearing a laurel wreath, facing left; a dolphin beneath the chin.
Reverse: Heracles standing facing left, brandishing a club at the Nemean lion which has pounced upon him; to the left, a bow and quiver; the letters I- and H around his legs.

Acquired from Bourgey in 1999.
On a fairly large blank, the metal barely indented. Wear is even, with a lovely golden patina. Almost Superb.
