Calabria, Taranto. Didrachm in the name of the magistrates Arethon, Sa- and Cas- ND (302–281 BC), Taranto.
Obverse. A young naked man, holding a wreath, on a horse facing right; above, ΣΑ and below the horse, ΑΡΕ/ΘΩΝ.
Reverse. TAPAΣ. Taras seated on the left on a dolphin, holding a tripod in his right hand; below, CAΣ.

On a slightly oblong flan, with a centred strike, slightly flattened on the obverse. Delicate grey patina. Superb.
