Sicyonia, Sicyon. ND drachma (335–330 BC), Sicyon.
Obverse: ΣI. A chimera advancing to the left.
Reverse: Within a wreath formed of two laurel branches, a dove flying to the right, with ‘I’ beneath the head.
HGC 5, 209 – BCD Peloponnesos 232; Silver – 5.8 g – 19 mm – 9 h
Acquired from the Banque Populaire du Nord and previously sold at the Bourgey auction, 14 May 1914, lot 67, illustrated in plate II, no. 67.
Slight wear to the high reliefs. The patina is dark. Very Good to Superb.
