Calabria, Tarentum. Stater or didrachm, Campanian-Tarentine ND series (281–228 BC).
Obverse. Female head facing left, wearing a taenia, with earrings and a pearl necklace.
Reverse. TA. A young horseman on a horse facing right, crowning him; below (different) and in front (different).

NGC AU 5/5 4/5 Fine Style brushed (8769658-021).
A rare combination featuring a dolphin on the left and a bunch of grapes. This coin is associated with the Taranto series but was struck at an unidentified mint in the south. High relief, with a lovely antique patina, slightly golden in colour. Superb in proof condition.
