Obverse: REPUBLIQUE - FRANCAISE. Bust of Minerva wearing a Corinthian helmet surmounted by a cockerel on the left, with the signature ‘LOR. F.’ below.
Rev. Caduceus and cornucopia crossed, with ‘2 DECIMES L'AN 8’ above, and (mint mark) below.
