Description
ROYAL SEAL made of wax, probably of Henry IV. The King is seated on a throne beneath a fleur-de-lis canopy, with two angels parting the curtains. His feet rest on two recumbent lions; in his right hand the King holds a sceptre topped with a fleur-de-lis, and in his left hand, the hand of justice. On the reverse, two figures flank a coat of arms bearing three fleurs-de-lis surmounted by a crown. Early 17th century. Diameter 11.5.
