A superb pair of flared silver champagne buckets decorated with an engraved coat of arms and friezes of water leaves. The ring-shaped handles are held by lion heads. Standing on four winged caryatid feet. Marked 1st Rooster Paris (1798 - 1809) Coat of arms of the NEY D'ELCHINGEN and DE LA MOSKOWA family, possibly that of Michel NEY (1759-1815) or his eldest son Joseph-Napoléon (1803-1857). H: 20cm D 22cm H : 19,5cm D : 21,5cm Weight : 3kg032 (Almost a pair, very slight difference in height and diameter) (one of the rings is open, minor dents)
