Silver serving platter from the ‘Bayonne’ collection, with a rectangular body and a border decorated on two sides with wide, three-part grooved rectangles.
Signed in full on the reverse, with silversmith’s maker’s mark and hallmark.
Height: 2 cm – Length: 42 cm – Depth: 28 cm – Weight: 1350 g
Exhibition: a variant of this model was exhibited at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925.
History: a square version is held in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (inv. 25450.B).
