PROVENANCE
Galerie Karsten Greve, Paris, 1996.
We would like to thank the Bernar Venet Archives for kindly informing us that this
work is listed in their archives under inventory number bv96d48.
With *Straight-Oblique Lines* (1996), Bernard Venet continues his exploration
of mathematical forms in space. The work, seemingly simple, creates a
tension between geometric rigour and sculptural presence. Simply by tilting a
line, Venet introduces imbalance and momentum, transforming an abstract principle into
a vibrant physical presence.
