Description
ADAM, la Revue de l’Homme, a rare men’s fashion magazine, comprising around seventy issues, 1932–1937, a luxurious monthly publication founded by Edmond Dubois in 1925. Six bound volumes, In-4°. For the years in question, most of the colour covers and interior plates were illustrated by P. Garetto, H. Lang and Jean Oberlé; from 1933 onwards, colour photographic covers began to appear. Each issue features numerous advertisements from leading fashion designers; throughout the seasons, well-researched and illustrated articles describe men’s fashion trends for every occasion of the day and for key periods such as hunting, winter sports and summer holidays by the sea, (1932: complete year?, a few covers missing. The other years are complete with all 12 issues, but with 1 to 5 pages missing or partially cut out. One binding is damaged; the others are in fair condition).
