A replica of the lampas commissioned from C. Pernon for the furniture in Louis XVI’s bedroom at Versailles in 1785, Manufacture Le Manach, early 20th century heavy-weave lampas from Tours, ivory-coloured, brocaded with polychrome silk and gold thread, featuring a large-scale design of bouquets of roses, peonies and ferns set in reserve against a diamond-patterned background of foliage and garlands of flowers (some wear along the selvedges), 310 x 60 cm.
