Description
Bernard Villemot (1911–1989) – Burgundy, a tradition of progress. 1984. Printed by IPA, Champigny. Original poster, lithograph, unmounted. 120 × 77.5 cm. Grade A. Reference: *Les affiches de Villemot*, Bon Salle, no. 272 In a single image on this beautiful vintage poster, a synthesis of the region featuring the glazed-tile roofs of the Hospices de Beaune, the vineyards for wine, and the TGV. It is worth noting that this train symbolises France’s modernity, and it was in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté that the first lines – Le Creusot–Montceau–Montchanin and Mâcon–Loché – were built.
