Description
Bernard Villemot (1911–1989) – Burgundy, a tradition of progress. 1984. Printed by IPA, Champigny. Original poster, lithograph, unmounted. 160 × 116.5 cm. Condition A. Reference: *Les affiches de Villemot*, Bon Salle, no. 273 This beautiful vintage poster captures the essence of the region in a single image, featuring the glazed-tile roofs of the Hospices de Beaune, the vineyards and the TGV. It is worth noting that this train symbolises France’s modernity, and it was in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté that the first lines – Le Creusot–Montceau–Montchanin and Mâcon–Loché – were built.
