Description
René Berti (1884–1939), known as Ribet, attributed to – *Le vernicire*. Circa 1915. Printed by Siven, Toulouse. Original poster, lithograph, mounted on canvas. Condition A – signs of creasing. 51 × 37.5 cm.
This is a brand created in Paris, intended for the maintenance of wooden floors. In this image, however, which bears witness to an era still influenced by Art Nouveau, a young maid is depicted. The target audience is therefore not the lady of the house, as this is not her task.
