Description

Jules Douy () – Cabrol and Baissette Fez Factory. Circa 1920. Printed by Sirven, Toulouse. 35 x 25 cm. Lithographed advertising card. Condition A-, a slight horizontal crease, one scratch. This advertisement bears witness to an unusual hat-making trade, specifically the production of fez hats, chechias and lagos, manufactured in Labrugière in the Tarn. These were no doubt subsequently shipped to the Maghreb and Africa.
