Description
Food - H Prost () - Strength and energy from Lavocat products. Circa 1930. Printed by Fort Lyon. 91x69cm. Original poster, lithograph, not mounted on board. Condition A-, a slight crease in the top right-hand corner.
At the time, radioactivity was evidently little understood, but it was not uncommon to find irradiated foods promising strength and beauty. Here, the Art Deco-inspired design suggests strength and energy through the image of a horse and a man playing rugby.
