Description
Food – Firmin Bouisset (1859–1925) – Lu, Lefèvre-Utile biscuit factory. Circa 1910. Printed by Daude Frères, Paris. 180 x 125 cm. Original poster, lithograph, mounted on canvas. Condition C, tears, margins added. A true marketing institution, here we see the famous little schoolboy, who has become the icon of the Nantes-based biscuit brand. Doubts still remain as to who the model for this advertising icon was. Some suggest it was the artist’s son, Jacques, whilst others believe it was Louis Lefèvre-Utile.
