Pierre Célice Collection.
A painter himself, he was first a pupil, then a friend, and finally, after Henri Hayden's death in 1970, his successor in title. In accordance with the wishes of Hayden's widow, Josette, Pierre Célice looked after his mentor's work until his own death in 2019. Pierre Célice met Hayden in Montparnasse in 1952. A friendship quickly developed between them, enabling the young painter to closely follow the evolution that was taking place in his master's work.
