MAJORELLE Louis (1859–1926) A pair of ‘Lilas’ chairs in moulded and carved walnut, with straight backs featuring openwork in the centre. Fully carved lilac decoration, sabre-shaped legs. The original upholstery in embossed velvet with a floral pattern is included. Sabre-shaped front legs (shows signs of wear and has been restored on one of the backrest posts). Height 100 cm – Width 41 cm – Depth 41 cm - Bibliography: Contemporary catalogue from Maison Majorelle, similar model shown on plate 87.
