HOFFMANN Josef (1870–1956) & JACOB & JOSEF KOHN VIENNA (Published by) ‘600/11’ model display cabinet in mahogany-stained curved beech, upper section with two glazed doors, the glass engraved with a star, brass keyholes, surmounted by an openwork cornice with a central diamond motif, two open shelves below, sides featuring two openwork diamonds made of curved wood. Uprights in one piece, joined by a curved crossbar. Bears the manufacturer’s label ‘Jacob & Josef Kohn, Wien’. Model created circa 1905 H 159 cm – W 75 cm – D 33 cm - History: An example of model 600/9, a variant of this model, is held at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (inv. 96.1712).
