FRENCH FURNITURE 1920–1930 A set of five chairs in walnut with Macassar ebony veneer, featuring a slightly sloping, bevelled backrest with carved decoration of stylised flowers and foliage, and a frieze of denticles around the middle. The front legs are tapered with stepped sections, whilst the rear legs are sabre-shaped. The backrest and seat are upholstered in havana-coloured leather (showing signs of wear; the leather is cracked). Height 85.5 cm – Width 49.5 cm – Depth 53 cm
