- History: The model featured in the Deutsche Werkbund’s installation at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris in 1930 – the first public presentation of German design in France since the Great War – and subsequently in Breuer’s ‘Maison du sportif’ at the Berlin Building Exhibition in 1931. Several manufacturing variants of the ‘B 35’ armchair have been documented, relating mainly to the type and position of the rear crossbar. The example reproduced in the cited publication is a different version of the model.
