- History: The model appeared in the 1956–1957 France & Daverkosen catalogue. The company, founded in 1936 in Hillerød by Charles W. France and Eric Daverkosen, took the name France & Søn in 1957 following the arrival of James France, whilst retaining the ‘FD’ prefix in its product references; it was acquired in 1964 by Poul Cadovius and became CADO. The tag bearing Charles France’s signature dates this piece to after 1957.
